Need a bit of help.

Bought an American mini Chopper for my two boys. I got it at a decent price as it had a few issues, one of which is a fuel leak.

Took the small plastic tank off and did a leak test and there is a small split around one of the mounting lugs which is allowing the fuel to escape.

I have had a look at Fleabay and there are plenty of mini moto tanks available but not one like my one.Mine mounts to the side of the top spar of the frame rather than sit on top like the mini moto's.

Now I dont fancy using the various mouldable leak repair gums that are out there as safety is my main concern as the bike will be ridden by my young sons.So I think it could be plastic welded. I have done various bits myself in the past using old plastic coat hangers melted then used as filler on bike fairings etc but this needs more of a permanent repair.

Anyone got any recommendations or contacts that would be able to help?

Thanks

Kev

Well most bodywork places can do plastic welding to bumpers etc, but i am not sure if it would be ok for a petrol tank.
