On sunday I was out washing and waxing the Monaro I could hear a bit of a purr coming down the hill. I poped my head up to see what was making such a fine noise. A group of about 3 or 4 Austin Healys' came down the road with a beatiful red one leading.
Then about 5-10 mins later another group appeared. Again Healys, MGs, a classic green Porsche 911.
There were maybe 6 groups in all, all with between 3-6 cars in each group, all a few mins appart.
The last group had a lovely Lotus Carlton in it. I was tempted to jump in the half washed car and follow to see where they going.
The odd thing is the road they were coming down in some places is a pretty narrow country lane and I wouldn't of thought they were in convoy to a meet.
Was there a charity rally or treasure hunt on in the south suffolk/north esssex area?
I have not found anything on the PistonHeads forums about it.
Anyway, it was great to see so many well preserved cars on the road.

Good to see another Ro owner on the EA forum Hope you enjoyed Brands yesterday by the way?
I often have a browse on here see what is going on in my area.Yep, brands was really good. Shame we got split up at the toll booths.
Have a look at the Monaro forum Sean, I have posted some pics of the day.
I'll send you a disc with the good pics on. I think Jo wanted a few printed.
Okie dokie will do... Ye it was a shame about the tolls, not sure what really happened... The Mondeo coming in from the right flank put my entry into the tolls right off track... God know what he was doing driving across the front of at least 3 tolls, good job he didnt do it on the exits or i might have driven right through the middle of him!!!
