Destination - Croix en Ternois Circuit (Sunday 28th Feb)
Date -Sat 27 february 20103 - Waiting for a ferry

People - A few "East Anglian" Marham regulars

And the support car - nice reliable A3 Diesel (if a little dirty)

Anyway to continue the coverage

Morning early session – track was damp but looked like a dry line would soon appear

If you want to get an idea of the track layout this video hosed by Gillou showed a lap in his Commodore A – unfortunately he stuck it in the kitty litter on the start of his second lap – ooops Something he repeated on numerous occasions but he wasn’t alone in this – it was bloody slippery redface

Back to the pics

Parked up outside the Hotel

Some of the attending cars

On track pics to follow and maybe a bit of in car video

I have to thank Thierry (one of the French Guys) for these video (3 mins each)

Nice watersplash feature ;D

I've never been on a full wet track day - worst I've had is at Marham

1 - had a bit of rain part way thro a track day but it dried up again

2 - Had a rain in the afternoon after a dry morning

3 - Started damp but soon dried out

This one was actualy very very enjoyable - I quickly found the limits of the car and for the first time ever I drove to the event on the same tyres I left with and never changed a tyre all day

Plus I liked how the car drove in the wet - normally I can't find the limits in the dry it just hangs in - this time it stepped out a lot and was fun in a whole new way

Anyway this was just for interest

That looks good fun - I think I'd like to go next year if the Nova's still running.

Is this the event co-ordinated by ABS Ian?

Always interested in reading things like that smile

I'm surprised you didn't need a bigger support vehicle, though! wink

2 25 yr old Monzas made it there and back under their own steam without incidents - with a stripped out interior and just two seats you can carry a lot of stuff - just needed some seats for the journey home as support if one got damaged or went bang (european rescue can bring the car back)
