Having recently purchased an Vauxhall 14/40 of 1925 vintage, whilst out on my first 'shakedown' drive the clutch failed. Not surprised it seemed iffy on test drive. So into Scole for the laying on of the masters hands in the form of Vince and Jason. Today popped in for an update to find the Vauxhall somewhat dismantled. Vince had found the fault within the clutch and that is not to bad an problem. But also discovered that an casting on the rear axle supporting the brake spindles had snapped clean off from its mounting point yikesZero chance of an weld job as the alloy was passed point of repair. No problem Vince remarked we can soon make up an replacement. Now thats just another little story which relates to an first class engineering Company.

Are they any good with Jaguars (1999 XJ8)? Need a service and a couple of niggles sorted shortly and they are only 5 mins up the road from where I work.

As Dave said, 'first class engineers'. They seem equally at home with any vehicle.

Thats the thing - items are repaired rather than wholesale chuck it out and replace with an new shiney item. But only when its prudent to do so. (do I sound like G.B.)hehe

Not really like our unelected slack-jawed leader, only "booming" business when I was at Scole...no "bust"!

Don't think i'd take my car anywhere else.

Honest, decent rate, friendly.

I love having a nose around when I go up there to see what they've been entrusted with, see some very varied metal, TVRs, Cossies, Aston Martins the lot!
