Anyone got any recommendations for which tracker and where to get one fitted. Also is it really worth it? Insurance company have said it will save me £50 on my renewal so financially its not going to make much difference.
And I am not sure that if some scrote nicked my car that I would really want it back fully of KFC boxes, NDubz Cd's and empty cans of Stella not to mention the boiled engine oil and wrecked bodywork.

My parents had to have trackers fitted to the Merc CL back in 2000, otherwise the insurance company wouldn't have insured us!
We also have a tracker installed in the RS4 and M3 for lower insurance (it made a difference, with mine nad my brother's younger ages).

I don't know about the M3 or CL, and the DB9 had a previously installed tracker, but the RS4's tracker is from TRACKER (www.tracker.co.uk).
It cost £342, which is alot, but the recovery rate seems pretty good in case someone "borrows" it.

I was thinking about getting a tracker a year or two back but decided against it in the end. Like you said, would you really want your car back after it's been stolen? Also it would take 6-7 years to get your money back if all you are saving is 50GBP.

What is the recovery rate for cars with trackers? i don't believe it's as high as you would think.

And when you come to sell your car, the HPI check would show up stolen/recovered. Try selling it then!

Oddly, this was said by my local insurance company when I went to insure the TVR as before then I was all for it.
