I suppose picking your nose gets points too?
Don't do it I've worked security in a hospital when a chap was taken in after an air bag went off while he was picking his nose. Not nice at all. Died of a broken neck, broken thumb, pointing and index finger, broken wrist, broken upper jaw, missing teeth recoverd in the stomach contents, gauged out eye and the thumb nail was recovered from the eye socket. Just heard on the radio that a guy in Scotland was given 3 points and £60 fine for blowing his nose whilst stationary at traffic lights?? Has the country gone mad?
I guess it's much less of a hazard than the alternative - driving whilst sneezing and with snot running down your face... guess McPlod didn't think of that.Robert060379 said:

That air bag - it didn't look like one of these did it?The air bag caught his elbow and combined with his forward momentum pushed his hand through his face. The distance between the driver or passenger and the airbag is calculated for someone wearing a seat belt. If they are thrown further forward the air bag will deply in their faces and do more damage. If in this case the space between the driver or passenger and the air bag is taken up with a solid obstruction the impact will force the obstruction in the same direction as the airbag itself the drivers or passengers face. Like the woman who was killed because she had her phone held on her steering wheel with a sticky backed Velcro pad, the phone hit her throat with the same amout of force as if it had been fired out of a shot gun and she died of asphyxiation (100 ways to die). Next time you're down a scrap yard buy an air bag unit, put a paving slab on top of it and deploy it using a pair of long wires and a 12V battery. See how far the slab goes in the air. Ford ones are good for about fifty feet.
