Good Lincoln Hotel
Discussion
Have a wedding in Yorkshire on Sunday 31st. Taking the 28th and 29th off work to do a bit of exploring up the East coast. Thought I'd stay in Lincoln before heading up to Northumberland and then back down to the wedding.
So... any quality hotels (don't mind price) for me and the lady to stay in you can recommend. Also is Lincoln a good spot to stay or would you recommend any better places in the general East Anglia coast area as an alternative?
Thanks

We did a run around Scotland last year and stayed at the Headlam Hall Hotel on the way up. Might be a bit far North for you (near Darlington) but I can thoroughly recommend it. The quality of the food and service from the staff was better than many 5-star places I've stayed in. I was surprised that it's only rated 4 star tbh. They have a spa and golf course there if that floats your boat.
We stayed in the Aldwark Manor near York on the way back and that was the polar opposite of the above....I'd have given it more like a 2.5 myself.
I lived in Lincoln for a while and found it....fairly dull. I think York is probably a better place to be if you want a nice place to explore.

The White Hart in Lincoln is in the shadow of the Cathedral and close to the Castle. Not been there for a while but the hotel is in a nice tourist area.
