Wedding car ideas
Discussion
Getting married in April and being a car guy have been put in charge of transport. The unusual thing is that the whole journey would take 3 minutes to walk (literally) though we might ask the car to do several suffles. The only reason we need a car is in case it rains which is a strong possibility in April.
My sister had a 20's Rolls from the national motor museaum (the ceremoney was in the Abbey in the grounds) but nobody saw it appart from the few that went in it. Bit of a waste of money.
I don't want a normal wedding car - I might just go for something from executive taxis but if I could find something really different from an owners club / enthusiast owner I might go with that. Since the car wouldn't be being used for hire or reward insurance not a problem (ie would pay cash!). There is no reason why you can't give a friend you met on PH a lift to his wedding.
I had thought about 3 proper Minis - Red, White and Blue like the Italien job but they aren't really good for getting in and out of in a dress.
Something oldish, biggish and differnt. 4 doors would be good too. A drag prepared 60's US saloon or a four door race car? Maybe a nice stack headlight Merc?
Bit of class - no stretchs etc!
Ideas please?

I got married in June last year and had a Mk2 Jaguar from these guys http://www.weddingcars-jaguar.co.uk/about_us/about...
I actually had another car booked and he let me down 3 days before the wedding, I phoned these guys and had nothing but good old fashioned service.
I did also consider http://www.champagneclassics.co.uk/ and also maybe a Range Rover

I know someone who hires out a chauffeured Eleanor replica....obviously not great for the bride climbing in and out of the coupe but for Groom and Best man its awesome.....
I know Rob very well and have detailed the car a few times...it looks and sounds great..
