A131 A decent road

Am this pm driving from central London upto Sudbury. How good a stretch of road is the A131 from Braintree and then the B 1071 to Lavenham? Anything beyond the obvious to watch out for?

Only issue is the A131 is a fun road but you'll always be stuck behind people.

It is a lovely road (was on it yesterday) but there is almost nowhere to overtake and it can be very busy. If you are doing it in the dark the oncomming lights can be a bit distracting. As in "I can see anything, oh st there's a bend"

I think you'll find that's middle age! I just steer for them until they wobble off to the right and disappear into a field hehe

Nearly had a nasty prang one winter's night near Foxearth - icy road, very narrow bridge and oncoming vehicle.
