Anybody local to this place tell me the best place to park please ??

My old mum & a couple of her mates are meeting there Sunday & apparently there's no car park. I guess Trumpington Road, Hills Road etc will be no-go for parking.

She can't walk too far, so if anybody can suggest a street pretty close that's not all resident parking, it would be much appreciated thumbup

entrances appear to be at either end of Bateman Street CB2 1JE

All advice appreciated,

many thanks

Hello

There is a huge multi story by the cinema complex. It's about half a mile from the entrance. There is also parking on Trumpington Road, it can get busy but Sunday should be OK (might even be free on Sunday, but not sure).

Hope that helps

No help to UncleGrouch, but the Cambridge park-and-ride system is excellent. Free parking for the day, and about £2 or £3 fare per person into the centre of town.

I never take my car into the centre...

As for the Botanical Gardens - maybe you could use the park-n-ride into the town, then take a bus or taxi? It's a mile or two from the central bus station... an easy walk for a fit person, but maybe too far in your case. IIRC, the Fitzwilliam Museum is not too far from the gardens, so that's worth a visit if you like that sort of thing (traditional museum).

There's pay and display parking on Trumpington Road next to the Botanic Gardens. I don't know how easy it would be to find a space though

No problem on a Sunday if you get there early enough. Before 10am should be ok.

Done exactly that last year with the wife.
