I was drawn to it from here;

Middle England gets it off its chest - but I suspect the members are drawn mostly from anti-car groups.
But what is the point? Unloading after a stressful day, or hoping the police will read it and go round to 'have a word'? It's also wide open to abuse by troublemakers out to get cheating wives/husbands etc into trouble - so without proof, ultimately it's all worth nothing.

The kind of treatment that I saw being given to that poor lady in question should not happen. I'm sure that driver will give the same treatment to anyone who has the temerity to occupy the road space that he's decided is his.
The more correct way to deal with an event like this must surely be to report it to the police, using the non emergency number, unless it's happening in real time.
The cars that were behind the fracas all hung well back, as did I; there was no telling where these cars were going to end up. The woman tried to drive round him, presumably because she wanted to keep moving.
If all the people who saw this had called the Police, then surely something constructive would have become of it.
One would like to think.

With no proof or evidence, what can they do? Nothing. No doubt many of the posts ARE about bad/reckless driving, but others will just be personal opinion and no law was being broken. Everybody seems to be too busy minding other people's business I think - and how many people moan about speeding outside their house but happily drive at 40 through somebody else's village?The more correct way to deal with an event like this must surely be to report it to the police, using the non emergency number, unless it's happening in real time.

I think the best course is to note the behaviour of aggressive halfwits (as the stress of modern living and popluation density increase, there seem to be more of them), try not to be like them and then move on.
And what's the legal position in the case of a malicious post? The victim could sue for libel and defamation of character.
