PHEA Monthly Meet - Southern Venue, Sunday 27th September
Discussion
Afternoon folks!
I'd just like to tell you all that it's time, once again, for the PHEA monthly meet!
After an abscence of a month, due to shows, we're back in the South for this month's meet at The Rose & Crown pub in Stanton Here's a MAP LINK
Also, I'd thought I'd give you the Rose & Crown Website Link
As usual, we'll meet 12:30pm, for 1pm food - they do a fantastic Cavery
Unfortunately (and for the first time in 2009), I will be unable to attend this meeting. Don't let that put you off though
All that's left for you guys to do is put down your name on here or email me to let me you're coming

so who IS going please?? !!
No idea! Not everyone reads the forum - they either reply to the e-shot or turn up unannounced - it's not an exact science, it's for fun. I might be there depending on other things. But as you were looking for something to do on Sunday, why not turn up anyway? I went to a TVRCC meeting once when we were the only car that turned up - so it became a nice pub lunch instead

More often than not, I'll get about 4 or 5 people say they can come, and end up getting a fair few just turn up on the day
As Simpo says, it's all for fun. If you get a large number of people, it turns into a great social situation. If there's only a couple of people, it becomes a more initimate affair, and get to have a great lunch with a couple of friends

Sorry to hear about this lack of attendance. A few people said they could not make it though. I did not put my name down but wanted to go to try the cuisine, as it come highly recommended, but i had other commitments on the day.
Sounds like some bridges need to be rebuilt with the management there for the November meet, as if it was my place i would not have been happy to reserve 15 places and noone turned up. Different story if they were quiet anyway of course and did not have to turn anyone away.

The place was packed just no fellow PH guys that I could see... didnt see any TVR's at the venue although did see some on the road.
Unfortunatelly I traveled for an hr to get there and by the time I had traveled back I had missed the roast at my local... was a loverly day though so the drive was rather pleasant.
