Ford Capri 2.0 Laser "help 4 Heroes" Charity Car
Discussion
Our Club car is now on a well known auction site to raise more money for "Help for Heroes". I have put an ad with a link on the main classified section, the link to it is below........

Its for a great cause and apart from £500 being retained to buy our next club car to do similar with, ALL money from the sale will go to H4H.
PLEASE spread the word guys and girls.

Yeah great news!
I am really pleased we have helped the charity and thank the guys at BuryRetroford for putting all the hard work in.
It's my lads first car and something we can do together. He wanted something different to the usual Corsa/Clio and liked the shape of a Coupe. He also wanted something old without computers that he could work on himself and learn about cars with. He can't learn to drive until early December, so by then he will be tired of riding shotgun and very excited indeed!
The H4H Capri came up just in time and really fits the bill, as all the hard work has been done.
Hopefully we will pick it up Friday. It's first outing will be to the Norfolk Street Cruisers monthly meeting at the Railway PH in Wymondham on the 7th of October.

Congratulations on the purchase, CD.
And congratulations on the sale, Shortie!
It seems as though everyone's a winner, AND the car has remained in the hands of a Petrol Heads, indeed a PistonHeader
Is your son keeping it the current colour with signatures, or will there be a colour change?

It is hard to quickly "pop" anywhere in it as people want to talk about it and say how much they approve of what has been done with the car!!
We as a club are really pleased its gone to a "Retro" fan and not some "numpty" thats gonna totally use and abuse it. As Darren says, its great its been bought by a PH'er and more so that they're pretty local to the club too.
The car will be greatly missed by the club as all that drove it have commented on how well it drives and handles. One of the bidders was the previous owner and they made no secret of how much the wife wanted the car back and yet they're in the USA and were looking at ways of storing it if they won it back!
