There's a few of us attending an American Air Day at Duxford in August and displaying our cars. Afterwards, we were planning on getting something to eat in the local area.

Can anyone advise a good pub with good food that can accommodate 10 - 12 cars and 20+ people? Needs a good car park.

Try the John Barleycorn in Duxford village http://www.johnbarleycorn.co.uk/ Great food and good parking behind the pub. They've even got a few rooms to stay over drink

The Plough is very nice but I seriously doubt you'll get 20 cars in their car park. You'd struggle to get 6-8 in TBH!

I second this, but pre-book as they fill up very quickly.

I live in the area, it has lots of decent old pubs.

The Tickell Arms has very good gastropub food, expect to pay for it of course. The Red Lion in Hinxton (note - not the one on the A505) also does good food, decent beer and is very quaint. Decent car park too. It would be my personal recommendation. The John Barleycorn in Duxford is in a similar style (thatched roof etc) and has just reopened, I've not tried the food since but is always full when I go (no tables left) so definitely book. The Plough is OK too.
