Last time we went here my Mrs was pregnant with my eldest who is now nearly 12! Got a week coming up soon without the kids and we are thinking of heading back for a few days. I remember a hotel, right on the seafront with a bar and decentish restaurant, a wee bit of Googling brings up the Hatfield Hotel?

Anyone have any experience of this establishment or any other recomendations?

Thanks!

Hatfield is okay, haven't got any experience of the rooms, but obviously it's directly on the promenade, sea views etc.

Might be worth looking at the Hotel Victoria again on the promenade, nicer than the Hatfield IMO, which may follow through to the rooms?

Or the Wine Lodge which is directly opposite the Hatfield, could possibly be a bit noisy at the weekend? But nicely decorated, and they've opened up a new one in Oulton Broad too which looks very swanky.

When are you coming down?

I have stayed in both the Hatfield and the Victoria (Works Christmas doo's) and given the choice of two, I'd go for the Victoria. Rooms were more pleasant and the Breakfast was top notch on both occasions we stayed there.

Carefull where you park your car. They still call them Horsless Caridges in Lowerstarft and if you're seen driving one you may be thrown off the pier and burned at the steak.
