Hi,

I need a bit of paint work done on my BM, can anyone recommend anywhere good relativley local? I live fairly close to Great Yarmouth, but dont really mind travelling a bit for good work, and after getting several quotes today, am wondering if I can't find anywhere who do better work for the same sort of money.

BTW, to save time, Bilney Coach Works are off the list, by virtue of having the rudest receptionist in the whole of East Anglia- quite the feat, Im sure you'll agree.

Many thanks,
N.

Have to agree with Bilney. Some of their staff were rude when I was there but the work is top notch. Strattons motor company are very good too and they are very polite.

They were MASSIVLEY rude. All I wanted was to give them some work.

The manager explained to me that 'in defence' a lot of their work was really late being finished, and the receptionist had been getting it in the neck as a result, but I fail to see how either of those things are a) my fault or b) indicators of a well-run business. The person out in front is the person who should be nicest, no? I was genuinley staggered at how they behaved. Again, all I wanted to do was give them money.

Anyway, keep the suggestions coming please smile

That explains the poor indicators then.

Inference: the receptionist does the work?

Never mind, with a grunpy front end the new business will die off and then they can catch up smile

awesome- leaving them with only the money they already have and no more. you can see why they're so popular huh, ST?

N,

Without a shadow of a doubt the best paintshop in Gt Yarmouth is S.I.D....

Jon Hogarth is a top guy and does decent custom paintwork as well as repair work...

http://www.specialistindesign.co.uk/

I have a few mates who have had top work done by him...

Or if you dont mind Norwich then The Bodycentre next door to Delmonte Garage off Vulcan Road is the best in the city..

I asked my mate who did the 'sterling' job on the Cobra.

Top stuff by all accounts.

I am afraid it was indeed my P&J... I'll leave you to tell the story.

Anyway no harm seemed to be done. So Praise the Lord for hard as nails American rear tyres, sloppy cart springs and a gearbox built for a school bus.

The Camaro has now been sold to a very rotund young man in Essex who seemed to be having a very intimate relationship with the large steering wheel.
