Stratton Motor Co....any contacts on here
Discussion
Wasn't there someone on here that worked at Stratton Motor Co?
I am holding a charity Auction dinner on 3rd July at Sprowston Manor. We have a lot of business owners coming and I had been talking to OPC with regard having one or two cars situated outside the Marque on display with their leaflets or flyers to promote the brand...obviously this is now a non starter.
Before I go and pay Bentley a visit, I would rather see if LSMC would be interested in having an Aston or two outside.
Or any contacts at Lotus may be even better....

Hi Kev!
You're thinking of Touring Remo (Tim). For your needs, I'm afraid you've just missed him. He left a couple of months ago.
However, he still may know somebody down there who can help you - I dare say he'll be along shortly!

Hi!
If you give Kate Bennington a call (01508 530491) she'll be able to help. It may be worth going through to Guy Munday (lotus sales manager) first. He often lends cars to my dad for car shows and always goes out of his way to help. I'm sure it will be Kate you end up dealing with but i'm sure it will help Would be nice to have one of each (he also is the Morgan sales manager so a nice aero 8 may appeal to you too).
HTH.
Tim (Rolph). It may or may not help to mention my name
Doh...sorry Tim completly went out of my head. I knew you had left though (due to Aston DB7 conversations).
I have emailed Roger at SMC but had no joy so will make it more personable and phone Guy or Kate.
Would be great to have one of each marque at the event and I am sure it may lead to one or two sales;)
Might even be able to get an auction prize from them too.....

Yeah, If Roger isn't there he won't see any emails for ages (he has an iphone but i don't know if he has got it set up).
But yeah, Kate + Guy are your best contacts. I'm sure at the very least they will provide a model car for an auction prize thing if you ask
We did that a few times......Maybe ask for Robert Chapman on that one (Parts Manager & future father in law to me)
All The Best
Tim.

Ok..spoke to Kate and unfortunately, they have another commitment on the night in question but have very kindly donated 2 tickets to the BTCC at Snetterton this year with full hospitality included. This is a great auction prize and will hopefuly go very well on the night.
So, OPC are no longer, Bentley have said due to economic crisis they cant park two cars outside but have given us a Bentley pen, Coopers havent got back to me....So Lotus? Anyone got good contacts there.
I did know Alison on the PR side but not sure if she is still there....?
Any businesses interested in taking a table its £400 for 10 on 3rd July at Sprowston Manor..
Kev
Yeap
They had a DB9 convertible with Caparo brakes and have also developed some for the Elise. The calipers are really light but I would hate to know how much they cost. Nice bunch of guys that worked for the company and they were happy for people to jump all over their nice shiney car
