Help - tyres needed
Discussion
The story was not "that" interesting. A fellow PHer and I were out at Woodbridge on Saturday, where he was a little brisk on the main straight, locked up, and seriously flat spotted his tyres. By the time he realised this we went in search of new ones, leaving my car at the track. His car proceeded to die on the A12, so we were stuck. We managed to get a taxi back to the track, collected my car, and then went back to his, where it decided to start.
Further checking of his tyres meant that he couldn't drive the 120 miles home on the tyres, and therefore needed new ones before he could go, or a relay home. (We also had the problem of the car dieing, which caused all the problems in the first place).
In the end (after 8 hours spent at a service station on the A12) he got lifted back by the AA, and I got to drive home.
Not that good, as PH stories go, but he has learnt to take a spare set of wheels to track days.
