Car enthusiasts day at Snetterton 9th May

Hi guys,
I have been invited as a trader, amongst others, to attend an event at Snetterton circuit on the 9th May and thought some of you might be interested in coming along. I will have some special show offers so you might grab a bargain! Anyone who spends £20 gets a free goody bag wow lol.
The events we have so far are Time Trial, Show & Shine, Sound Off, Norfolk Fire & Rescue will be there to give demos on extracting casualties from vehicles and the finally the opportunity go around the circuit lead by the safety car.
It is organised jointly between Snetterton and the Police who are involved partly for PR and to make sure safe driving is observed to and from the circuit. Bigpower.co.uk (in which i am involved) are doing the Autotest and a top Police driver will be [U]trying [/U] to set the best time. How about that for a challenge?
Max Power are meant to be attending. Heart FM will be there and maybe Anglia T.V.
I believe flyers are being distributed and some car clubs have been approached. They expect 1000+ cars, but if word gets around i am sure there will be more than that.
I think it starts at around 12 and goes on untill 5.30. I will confirm ok

It's the same day as our Lakenheath event, but if anyone's not going to that, then they could drop into Snetterton and give us some feedback for next year.

Well the Police are trying to get people from Norwich to meet at Thickthorn park and ride and then go in groups of around ten at a time to Snetterton for safety reasons, although anyone is welcome to go there from wherever as they wish. People are urged to be extra aware and drive safely of course.

Very good idea. I once saw more than 10 cars using the A11 at the same time, boy was that scary. Luckily they all managed to scrape through. Just...SM

Hi Karl. I think I passed you as you were leaving. I too didn't stop long but had a little look at the guys on the main circuit testing which was more entertaining, well for a few minutes anyway!
te cars. The dress code was hoodie and tracksuit bottoms and you had to have music pumping aswell. I doubt there will be another.I can sort of see the point, police being chummy with chavs and trying to get them on side but why it wasn't advertised and organised is anyones guess.

I think it was, to be honest I can't really remember as I was in a world of my own as I drove along only to be awoken so to speak by seeing your car but it was just before I entered the gatesHealey73, were you just at the gates as we were coming out? yep it allways seems to be the case that the window is up just a tad to much when ever i need to wave to someone and if i try to flash someone i allways get all flusted and bib the horn instead
.Also see you cerb on the lift when i was dropping the cerb off at scole.
