PH Roadshow: Helmingham Festival of Classics, 2 August
Discussion
By popular demand, and helped by a kind offer from Helmingham Hall, PHEA Roadshow will have an official stand at the 'Helmingham Festival of Classics and Sports Cars' on Sunday 2 August. This will incorporate the Pistonheads banners and gazebo, and hopefully the famous BBQ!
'Over 500 vehicles attend, representing the last 10 decades of motoring history, including many from Britain’s motoring heyday – marques on display included Alvis, Bristol, Jensen, AC Riley, Armstong Sideley, Lea Francis, Crossley, BSA, Lagonda, Lanchester and Gordon Keeble. The oldest vehicle seen on display was a 1914 Ford Model T and the latest sports car models have included the Chevrolet Corvette and a Ford Mustang as well as Ferraris’ and Porsche. This amazing collection of vehicles is displayed against the magnificent back drop of Helmingham Hall and its surrounding moat which sits in the middle of the ancient deer park.'
If you've been before, you'll know that this event is possibly the most 'upmarket' Show we attend, with some very rare, valuable and exotic motor cars on display. We've been offered an excellent Club Area rate of just £10 per person (usually £20). As always, there's the chance to participate in the Concours Runs and impress the admiring public with your ability to make as much noise as possible without embarassing yourself on the gravel surface!
The Show has a very helpful new organiser this year so we shouldn't need to run over any marshals this time. We've had a good chat and it should all go like clockwork
