I am organising a Stag do in Norwich and need somewhere to go get some food, we are Karting at North Pickerham (sp?) before hand then heading into Norwich.

Anyone know of a reasonable place that can/will take approx 20people? Doesn't need to be anything speacial, but if they serve food and drink that'll be fine.

Thanks

Tom

20 may be a push for them though, but ask and find out.

Tom,

Well I would recommend Mambo Jambo's in Norwich which is a great Mexican place. They would easily be able to cater for the number.
Other than that there are Zaks on Mousehold which is burgers and steaks....Walnut Tree shades used to be a great place for food but the owner, Chris, sold up recently so cant comment on whether it is the same...

One idea would be to sign up free on tickred.com and have a look at the offers that are available in the restaurants around Norwich. You might be able to do a deal with one or two of them.

Nice food dirty boy but I thought a little pricey for a group of hungry lads who have just been karting! +1 for Mambo's or similar, depends where you want to go afterwards really, as that is a bit tucked away. If the Riverside complex is your destination of choice for the drinking part of the evening, the Riverbank Chinese buffet is fine, as is Old Orleans. Enjoy your night anyway, ages since I went out on a stag do, feel slightly jealous!! drink

Tom,
A few months ago i went out with a group of 20+ and we ate at Old Orleans at Riverside. It was ideal for our mixed group and they coped ok. Obviously we pre-booked prior to the night.

I agree with Mambo Jambo's.

I have used it a lot for big parties over the years.

Great bloke food and resonable prices. They even had a party of "naughty nuns" last time we were there. At least they looked naughty - LOL!

Avoid Orleans if you don't like rubber chicken!

Stag do and nobody has sugested the Triumph owners club yet? Oh dear.
Anyway, why Norwich? For the price of a meal, gokarting/clay pigeon shoot or what not you can fly from Norwich to Amsterdam and chain the groom to a post there.

No, its next weekend (9th), I've not seen either Kart track so can't comment as to what the one we are heading to is like!

If I remember I will let you know!

I'm sure there will be some people here who have tried them out!
