Go on - define a Pistonheader!
Discussion
In mechanical engineering terms, that part of a piston above the top ring......
In steam engineering terms, that part of a piston which is made fast to the piston rod.
In our terms, probably someone who loves the combination of mechanical things, whether old and new, that involves motion at whatever speed, and whether they be aircraft, cars or boats.....

Roger that one; I personally get a buzz out of engines in general. Steam, reciprocating infernal combustion, turbines, (steam or gas) turboshaft, pulse jet, the lovely throaty burble of a two stroke diesel, howl of a multi valve four/six/V8 (except for flat plane ones),ten, twelve, Oh, the noise of an Isotta Fraschini 57 litre W18,,,I just fell off my chair. Pratt and Whitney Wasp, Twin Wasp, R4360,, excuse me a,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,moment,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Merlin, Griffon,,,,,,,,,,,,MG Mark
kind of thing.
Does that make me a Pistonhead ?
Does someone who doesn't know what the oily bits are qualify ?
Or is the only common thread an enthusiasm that includes cars ?
I think the last one might be a good definition.
