Snetterton track alterations?

We all know that alterations are planned but I thought that by now they should be completed. Have'nt been trackside for a few months now but assume work not started as yet. Anyone any info'on whats going on, or not going on. Can't find anything on the website.

Breckland Council pasted plans back in Sept 08 for the hotel, industrial units and other planned redevelopment of the site.

There is also some talk of a Formula One race coming to Snetterton.

The MSV development plan allows for every kind of motor sport except F1.

The reason being the track and facilities are being improved up to FIA Grade 2 standard only.

I intend to be there for the first race of the year, weekend 14th/15th March.

Just got this gut feeling that nothing will have changed at all. However, I'll be thrilled to be proved wrong. Watch this space.

Think its all been put on hold until this credit crunch thing is over. They have brought the land on the outside of Richies tough so the cornfields have now gone.

That's a shame, I enjoyed watching cars spin off and disappear into those corn fields.

As mentioned, all work is on hold, and nothing had changed as of last Saturday.

I did not say current spec F1 cars but I was thinking along the lines of ones that have raced at Snetterton before.
