Hi all,

Had a crappy journey to work thanks to being diverted through St. Ives due to supposed flooding in Earith. Travel updates on the radio were useless as usual starting off with "don't attempt to pass" through to "people are getting through with no problems" by the time I'd been stuck for 1/2hour in St. Ives (grrr!).

So anyone know if the biblical levels have subsided yet?

Cheers,
Rob

Oh sorry, I thought you said 'Earth'. I think I need to go and get some food.

Nope definitely not the Earth, although if that was flooded it would make my commute much easier as I wouldn't bother wink

On the radio this morning they said it was still flooded but coming home tonight there was absolutely no mention (same as last night) so I guess it's going to be pot luck again tomorrow as to which traffic jam I sit in frown

Cheers,
Rob

According to gtraffic.info, the BBC is reporting it's still closed and will be until at least 8:30 tomorrow morning.

That site is quite a good traffic problem aggregator... worth bookmarking...

Thanks Tol, that is indeed a handy site, certainly more use than the governments - shock!!

Don't know if it's open, but there was a lot of traffic coming into St Ives this morning from that direction.

Earith has been fine throughout the "closure" in my experience. Even last thursday when it was really bad it was deep but passable at 8am and was still ok coming back at 9pm despite 3 inches of snow. Ever since it's been no issue at all and it was completely clear yesterday.

fk me, I was just about to ring Noah and tell him to get his arse in gear, but realised if he launched the Ark in in EA the animals would have inbreds chasing them up the plank!

Thanks all, sounds like normal service will resume for me tomorrow.
