Whilst I understand the need for moderation, I am personally not too keen on having "the PH rules" waved everytime there appears to be a little disagreement on a PH forum.

If PH'ers want to have a slanging match, let them, none of us are forced to read, agree or disagree with sentiments expressed in threads.

BTW, Speed 6 engines explode, Chimps are for golfers, Al Melling invented the internal combustion engine, TVRs are kit cars, Bridgestone S2 were the best tyres ever made, MOBIL One is made from water, using anything other than VPOWER makes your engine "pink", if you don't have a V8 you must be gay...hehe

Someone tried to take Ted to court over something they didn't like on PH a while ago. Sadly, it's the world we live in and litigation is just a step away frown

Sorry your not too keen on threads being locked, there was a lot more going on behind the scenes which you were obviously not party to.

As for letting them slang it out on the forums, it wont happen if members want to have tantrums then take it off PH.

If members choose to use the forums for this type of activity, then their membership will be removed and their membership fee will be refunded. smile

Here here... with one exception.

People should discuss the issue, not the personality. I think the church has an excellent saying for this; "Hate the sin, not the sinner".

Another quotation would be: -

"We have just enough religion to make us hate one another, but not enough to make us love one another." frown

Started off saying I wasn't keen...

Never personally had a problem with John S or Ian V and have known of Darren since Ian Beech's days as a PHer cry

Like me, I am sure Darren will share similar fond memories of PHEA events and wish to create new ones too...

Again personally, I think the heavy-handed way forums have been handled only stoked the apparent ill-feeling between John S & Ian V.

I will miss Ian V and after his enthusiasm and hard work at PHEA, it doesn't seem a fair way to treat a fellow PHer...

I will finish up by saying I am not keen.
