Ian and John,
This problem between you both is affecting PHEA.
I'm not concerned as to the cause or the intial intentions, but I am concerned how this has been playing out in the public eye, and how it will end.
We must not divide PHEA. Quarrelling like this will only put potential PHEA'ers off from joining the groups, and will push current members away.
Whatever problems you have, you must both sort it out PRIVATELY.
Having this public argument is doing nothing for either of your reputations with PHEA members, or even the big wigs at PH .
If this does not stop, PHEA will crumble to nothing, and I'll be out of here, too!
This thread is not a blame game for any one individual, but this argument has dragged PHEA and it's members into this dreadful situation - somewhere it needn't have come.
What's said is said, but we can't go on like this! So please, I urge you both for a face to face meeting. Sort this out. Please.

Well said that man. I thought that this year I was going to make a real effort to come along to some meets but I must admit that does make me think twice, it all just seems childish, sorry I can't think of any other word for it. I'm sure it can all blow over soon and we can get back to these naked women that Neil mentioned!! (or men for any female PHers)Well said Darren its been while since I last attended a PHEA meet.
The reason I posted the email I had earlier been copied into was because I throught it would be more healthy to get it out into the open.
It was cced via the PHEA list so can hardly be called a private email.
Anyhow time for Ian and John to put the past behind them and be friends.
I now have a new motor myself thanks to the Bank of England.

For the record, I'm happy to meet Ian and shake hands, but he does not wish to do so. Darren has made strenuous attempts to bring Ian to the table, but he has refused to do so. I enjoy PHEA and its events and this deliberate sour grapes atmosphere only spoils it for everybody.Furthermore, and I've said this before, if anyone competent and professional person wants to take over my role within PHEA, then they're welcome to apply. I've been organising group attendance at car shows for almost 10 years and sometimes it would be nice just to go along as an attendee like everyone else.
(I've deleted most of the next part of what I wanted to say because I know it will only kick off again, and unlike some people I'm not looking for a row. As the unfortunate target of a personal vendetta I've even called a 'cyber-bully' (!) but all I want is for the forum and PHEA to return to normal so I can post the events and we can look forward to a happy sunny 2009.
Ian says he has nowhere to go, but if he's not coming back then I have no problem with him starting his own group (it doesn't have to be PH, there's life outside it), and he's an active member of the Corvette Club - so plenty to keep him busy and happy.
So like everyone else, I'm asking - can we let it lie? Can we go forwards? Or are we going to be dragged back into a catfight every day by some new spoiling tactic?

If you had the balls to put youself before the group and ask if they still wished you to continue running PHEA this could be put to bed once and for all. You would then have a clear mandate to do as you wished, or not as the case may be.Nobody is going to challenge you in the current climate as they can see what's happen with me.

Sorry Darren, but having been accussed of all sorts again via email I really am stuggling to get away from this. You will also notice that the 'point scoring' has started again in Simpo's thread above.

Nobody as far as I can see is posting anything "about you". Lots of people have told you to grow a pair and let it go (whatever "it" is, I don't much care).It's just the internet you know; it's not important in the big scheme of things. I have no gripe with you, but how come you only mention me again. I am not the one who came on here 'points scoring' again. FFS what am I to do, allow it to continue ? How come he is allowed to continue to do this and no one says a bl**dy word.
He hasn't the balls to ask for the forums backing on any of this. What does that tell you ? I am really getting well and truly f*cked off with everyone picking fault with everything I write, yet no one says a word to him.
Any emails received are answered privately.
