Nice one - really thought it was 'game over' for this year. Will PH have a posse going up there.

Simpo Two - you are the 'all knowing' one. Whats happening brother??

Did they mention if the event will still be on Norfolk Showground?

hehe Well Darren was going to run this one before it was cancelled, so I expect it'll be reinstated when he gets back from the nightclub!

Here are the police having a 'gala day' near me yesterday:

I thought the event was cancelled because it cost more to put on than the money it raised. Wonder who's backing it - the Council I suppose?

The 'Police' Gala day organiser, Steve Thackary, has united with 'Norfolk Showground Ltd.'to organise 'The Norfolk Gala Day', for 6th. September, as original date 20th. September is now the Norwich Union (Aviva?) classic car run.

Don't know if the council is involved.

Alan. cool

I've sent the organiser an email, asking for further information.
I've also asked about the age restriction for vehicles - the article mentions 25 year old cars.

If they have to be more than 25 years old that's rather a dealbreaker - we'll have to send Crankedup and he'll need to set off pretty soon!

I've just had a reply from the organiser. The age of vehicles relates to a rally they are running.

The chap also seems keen to have us along - so I'll put things into motion. If all goes well, we can add this to the PHEA Calender thumbup

Yes I will be attending this years rally, although I expect to be on the Austin Seven club stand. However, that will not stop me coming over to EAPH stand to say hi and enjoy seeing the high performance modern stuff. I cannot imagine the show organisers not allocating a stand for your selection of sports exoctica.
Cripes! better start greasing the old girl up if Im not to be late biggrin
