After what happened last year with a local pisshead running over the Lambo I thought my faith in Norfolk folk could only get better, and it had until today...

After taking the Integrale for a mid winter spin I decided the Murcielago needed a run too. Drove it to Norwich on the A47, along the southern bypass and back through the city. Got to the Larkman traffic lights and sat stationary in traffic and some fking teenage wker threw a brick at the car. I couldn't do anything about it and had to drive on with damaged car.

So for the second time in 18 month's I'm left wondering: Is it just that Norfolk teenagers are so fking thick they haven't worked out what common respect is - or is the problem broader amongst my fellow Norfolk folkbanghead

Not sure whether you will see me with the car out in Norfolk - think I'm gonna go to meets where I don't have to worry whether some local motherfker is going to trash the car coz they think some jumped up cock is driving it - when really its just another common man who has a passion for carsrage

Sorry guys - I hope you understand my feelings at the moment

Sorry to hear that. Some teenagers threw a brick at my dull company car as I drove through Worthing a couple of years ago, from the roof of a car-park, Mrs OB and our baby daughter in the car with me. I'm lost, really lost, why anyone would try to kill/maim my family.

Nothing I could do, of course, go to the local police station and wait for hours. Sadly I think that, even if caught, they wouldn't be punished.

At least you weren't hurt...

Just unbelievable - with your kids in the car too. Kinda puts things into perspective a little for me!

Crap! I'm so sorry to hear that Neil.
Why can't people just be happy to see a rare exotic car, and be content with a sighting....why would anyone want to damage it. I just don't understand their mentality.

Such a shame you couldn't get out and give the little st a bloody good hiding!

I hope you Lambo gets fixed soon. It'll be nice to see her at some meets thumbup

That's shocking news Neil.

I'm not a fan of surveillance but sometimes I think that 360-degree camcorder footage on a rolling five-minute basis would be extremely handy to record the evidence.

(If anybody fancies making and marketing it it'll be 10% royalties to Simpo Industries please)

Really sorry to hear that Neil. To me it sums up all that is wrong with this bl**dy country nowdays. No one has any respect anymore, either for another person or their property.

Bring back public floggings I say. Maybe they would think twice next time !

Larkman traffic lights says it all. They should carpet bomb the whole area from the ring road to Costessy.

Neil,

I am so sorry to hear that mate. It makes my blood boil to think they got away as well....

As long as you werent hurt physically, I guess thats what matters most. God only knows what would have happened if you had got out and challenged him.

There was a report in the paper yesterday where a guy went to collect his teenage son from the city as he had been picked on by a group of 'kids' in Chapelfield.
When the guy went to collect him, the group of 'kids' (ages ranging from 13-20...when the feck was a 20 year old classed as a feckin kid!!!!) started to throw stones at his van. When he got out to confront them they then set upon him....

Seriously, this country is going bad. These kids need to be dealt with in the only way they know....

Neil,

Really sorry to hear this. Have a friend that lives near the Larkman and this type of activity seems relatively common up there. Spent the afternoon fitting a car alarm to his Punto after it got done over.

As a young'un myself, I can't even think what goes through these peoples minds frown

That's incredible, I've lived in Norwich all my life and have never experienced a brick being thrown at any of my cars, nor have I heard of it happening to anyone else! What the hell is this world coming to?!! As for tackling them, I may have been tempted a few years ago but with knife crime the way it is, not any more! At least you're OK mate!

We can but dream.

And to the OP, well, frown The punishment that spunk stain got for running over your Lambo last year was pathetic, but whats even more pathetic is that if you had dared try to do anything to protect your property, then the full weight of the law would have been against you.

Sad. Just sad.
Yeah I know what you mean TVR. That said he did pay up dilegently his £1k so as I see him out in town far too regular to had to just put the whole thing to bed..........till yesterday!! ha, ha!

I'm dumbfounded!!

Why would someone do this? It's like the idiots who key cars! I think their braincell is active for 2 seconds and then switches off. They have no thought of the consequence of their actions whether it be financial and physical.

Luckily these morons only account for a tiny percentage of the population, but it only takes one.

Hope it works out OK and doesn't cost too much to fix.

Mark

PS Neil, do you know a guy called Jeff, big bloke who goes windsurfing?

That's disgusting Neil, I feel for you. I must admit I am becoming more and more disheartened with the UK which is sad. Hope all is sorted soon and at not too much expense to you.
