Hi All

Ive got a problem. Ive got my car booked in at a specialists for a service and a running problem.

However the car will be out of tax (SORN'd) and also im not positive if it was taxed it would make it to Norwich without stalling and then not restarting.

I have a VW Bora TDi as a tow car if needed and the car to be towed prob weighs around 1400kg. Is this safe to tow on a two axle trailer or have you guys got any better ideas?

Cheers
Paul

its not just a case of is it safe, even if you are experienced and the load is stable,if you exceed the gross train weight of the car you are breaking the law.if anything happened you would be well up a certain creek with no paddle.
if your car is heavy enough a twin axle trailer should be fine, our caravan weighed 1500kg and was only a single axle.if you would rather use a transporter you could try www.derekfiske.co.uk their prices didnt look too extortionate

Paul,

Is it APT you are taking the car to?

If so then Gary or Christian should be able to give you an idea for transporting the car to them

Yep thats right.

Thanks mate, I will phone them up nearer the time if I cant sort it.

Now just got to try and find the cause of the stalling and then not restarting.

Hi Paul,be on the safe side give Nigel Fairwerther a ring 07713769720.or 01063 741553 He lives in Costessey near the bowl. He took my sons v8 esprit to Surrey for £200.So he's not to pricey.I hope the car is ok.
