Norfolk council?

Does anyone know how I can get hld of the Norfolk Council by phone?

I have an enquiry but having tried every single number from waste management to general enquiries for 3 days no-one has ever picked up?

John, it seems to me that most Councils are now run by private companies and governed by a few directors and councellors.

Councillors have little power when it comes to running Councils.

If I was him I'd make every road in Suffolk 30mph, and put in speed bumps every 50 yards - then in the afternoon, retire early on a fat pension.

If I worked for Norfolk Council I would like to be an housing chief, then I would chuck loads of oldies out of thier home.Blimey! me and my workmates could move in to those houses and have cheap rents.

The woman responsible (Head of Housing?) has been sacked for 'Gross Misconduct' and 'Bringing the Council into Disrepute'. She was on £52K a year and paying £47pw rent, along with 18 other Council employees who moved in after the residents were moved out (on the grounds the buildings were going to be demolished).

Thats a bit harsh, Im sorry but as an ex council worker of 13 years I worked very hard and Norwich City Council in particular is know to be a fearsome employer that gets rid of staff regularily if it feels the post isnt necessary, gone are the days of it being a cushy job working for the council. Dont judge unless you have first hand experience.

Don't judge!!! just continue to cough up vast amounts of money. I would'nt say the Council's foot soldiers are at fault here, its those that are paid vast salaries, some in excess of the P.M's which really wind me up.

Hi all, sorry I completely forgot I had posted in here



I wanted to find out who I could meet when looking at some land and the possibility of planning permission.

I contacted someone at the council and was told they don't deal with these issues, they gave me an email address that didn't exist. So I'm waiting till i'm back in the UK to do some looking around.

ILUVMERCS, East Anglia is a strange place so it's best to keep my head down

Districts deal with planning applications, not the County.
