Capri for a Donation??!!
Discussion
Right then folks, call us mad or whatever but our car club in Bury St Eds is prepping a 2.0Laser, will be mot'd and during the show season will be round as many shows as possible to attend. What we will be doing is getting as many active servicemen/women as poss to sign the car and the general public to make donations. FOR WHAT? i hear you say........ Well, we have a couple of members that are serving in the forces and what with the track days at Marham, we are raising funds for "Help for Heroes" charity. It helps the families and servicemen that have been injured, maimed or killed in action. So what in effect we will be doing is getting people to donate, then fill in the form that allows the charity tax relief on that donation, then at the end of the show season those people that have donated their names will go into a hat/bucket/barrel etc and 1 will be drawn and we will then quite simply give that person the capri!!
We are aiming to have the Capri ready to attend the next Marham track day so keep your eyes peeled cos it will be going public very soon!
In essence, if you donate £10, fill in the tax relief form and then wait, you may be getting a phone call saying you are being GIVEN an MOT'd Capri for nothing!*

- Due to legalities, we have to give the car away rather than a raffle. you donate, your name will go forward as a possible owner.

The police gala day at the norfolk show ground is a good one. You can get radio norfolk involved and they will come 'round and talk to you about it. They're really good for that kind of thing. I go with my dads Lotus club and we always do a big charity donation at the end of the day. It's a good day and last year got 55,000 people there.
I'm sure a google search will point you in the right direction of who to contact. I'm sure the name you need is Steve Thacker.
