I have only praise for Peter Baldwin - Wilsher Garages - Cambs

http://www.wilshers-garages.com/

He set up the ignition timing and jetted the carbs on my triple Dellorto converted 3.0 24V six pot engine - gained 40 bhp in one 2 hour session

He doesn't do programable ECU's or injection - just old fashioned carbs and movable distributors and he old works a couple of days a week so you normally have to wait a couple of weeks for a slot

Best bit of background I could find on him

The car is in the corner of his workshop I believe

Tell him the lunatic with an triple carbed Opel Monza sent you - he'll remember it

Do I take it that this is the same Pete Baldwin who used to run a set of rollers in Jesus lane(?) Cambridge?

If so, then he set my Mk1 rs2000 up back in 1988 and it was superb after he fettled the old girl - 150bhp with just a gas flowed head, mild cam and a weber 38dgas.

Highly recommended for 'old skool' engines.

I'd be a bit sceptical of the rolling road figures he gives out but other than that a top bloke for tuning! Someone i know took her 1.6 Capri there that had been "warmed" a little and it came back with 116bhp???

BUT as i say, he certainly knows his bobbins and gets the best from an engine.

If you are refering to Peter Baldwin - his Dyno is a little on the generous side

But I did a run on another rolling road 2 weeks before I went there and a confirmation run 1 week after - 40 bhp was the difference on both rollers
