Norwich Slot Car Racing
Discussion
Hi Guys
Just a quick post to see if anyone is interested.
Myself and a couple of others run a Slot Car club in Rackheath, we race on Monday evenings on a 4 lane wooden routed track with timing gear etc. It's a mixture between adults and kids (12yrs+) and we run 6 classes. Hot and cold food available. 7pm until 9.30 ish.
We're looking for new members, if anyone fancies trying it out just get in touch. It's always a good laugh.
A few website links for cars etc:

Slot car racing!
That brings back some memories of the late 60's, when we built a 6 lane track that was over 120 feet in length, at RAF Watton.
Do you make your own cars?
We used build our own cars, 1/32nd scale, and then tune the engines. Yes you can tune electric engines.
In fact I still have a few of my cars around somewhere. Tried to use them on a Scalectrix track some years ago, but they were way too fast for a 'Scaly' track.
Happy days.

Is that Scalectrix ?
Sounds like fun.
Hi, yes it is sort of. It's not on a plastic Scalextric track but a 100ft routed wooden one with 4 lanes.Sounds like fun.
It is a good laugh especially in the winter months. If anyone fancies having a try just get in touch. I'll get a few pictures and post them here over the weekend.
