Built in our own backyard, in fact.

Ahhh Trident....there's a name I haven't heard in a few years!

When the Mosler factory (Breckland Technology) built cars for Japanese company "Tommy Karia", I had a friend working there, too.
He said that one day they had this "Secret" project through the doors for the guys to look at. It couldn't have been that secret though, as one of the other Breckland Technology guys told him what it was rolleyes

As he knows I'm a car nut, he told me what it was. Back then, I don't know if it had a 6.6 V8 diesel, though scratchchin

Looks a nice car though thumbup

Can you arrange a visit to that factory, please Ian?

'6.6-litre V8... 70mpg. biodiesel.'

That'll get the lefties in a paradoxical lather. But in the end they'll still hate it and try to ban it because it looks nice and is fun.

I worked for Trident a couple of years ago, nice to see that they appear to be getting somewhere now,( not because I left) and take it from me the car looks even better in the flesh.

I really like the look of this car, a bit TVRish, wonder how it might handle with a massive v8 oil burner up front.

I don't really get this car.

If you have 60k to spend on a 2 seater sports car I dare say you are not thinking... ooohhh I wonder how many mpg it does. For 50k you can get a Marcos with a proper V8 and that's been developed with Prodrive (they make Astons don't you know!).

I hope they do well, but I think it is a niche too far...

Oooo I like it! thumbup

As my petrol V8 does about 60 miles to one 55 litre tank (eeknot mapped correctly yet!), 1500 miles on one tank sounds likes heaven.

According to todays E.D.P. the event is not taking place now. A gearbox supply problem is the quoted reason.

I dared to ask how a large ish diesel would compare to a petrol equivalent if transplanted into a cerbera.
My logic being the immense torque available ... didnt get many positive comments!

Will be an interesting one to watch - shame they dont have a 2+2 configuration ... DAS

You can only enjoy the expression of shock on their faces when you show them the suitcase of money you brought in for them, then close it up with a sigh and walk out.

Isnt this the same company who have said they are going into British GT racing for the last 3 years.
If I remember rightly, last year they turned up with a car but never actually raced it.

Maybe better luck with the road car. They have had to design a special electronic gearbox apparently to use all the torque to good effect.
