170mph, 6.6 V8, 70mpg - and it's British

Ahhh Trident....there's a name I haven't heard in a few years!
When the Mosler factory (Breckland Technology) built cars for Japanese company "Tommy Karia", I had a friend working there, too.
He said that one day they had this "Secret" project through the doors for the guys to look at. It couldn't have been that secret though, as one of the other Breckland Technology guys told him what it was
As he knows I'm a car nut, he told me what it was. Back then, I don't know if it had a 6.6 V8 diesel, though
Looks a nice car though
Can you arrange a visit to that factory, please Ian?

I don't really get this car.
If you have 60k to spend on a 2 seater sports car I dare say you are not thinking... ooohhh I wonder how many mpg it does. For 50k you can get a Marcos with a proper V8 and that's been developed with Prodrive (they make Astons don't you know!).
I hope they do well, but I think it is a niche too far...

I dared to ask how a large ish diesel would compare to a petrol equivalent if transplanted into a cerbera... didnt get many positive comments!
You can only enjoy the expression of shock on their faces when you show them the suitcase of money you brought in for them, then close it up with a sigh and walk out.
Isnt this the same company who have said they are going into British GT racing for the last 3 years.
If I remember rightly, last year they turned up with a car but never actually raced it.
Maybe better luck with the road car. They have had to design a special electronic gearbox apparently to use all the torque to good effect.
