Marshalling at Sculthorpe airfield- Sunday 15th April
Discussion
The Sporting car club of Norfolk require your help!
They are holding a rally of approx 8 stages each covering 80 miles and require pairs of marshals to make sure the competitors follow the correct course and replace any displaced cones.
Last year they ended up with 70 and coverage was a bit thin in certain areas. On top of the 'cone watcher' marshals there are start and finish crews, radio crews, paramedics, recovery crews, service area etc - last year approximately 130 people signed on.
Marshals will spend most of the day in the middle of nowhere but within sight of a radio car (if nobody else), you will be able to have your car not too far away. It will be a long day - signing-on at 7am - finish by 5.30pm. There will be hot food available in the service area and there will be a 'lunch break' which will give marshals enough time to visit the service area if they want to. Facilities for ladies are very thin on the ground although there will be portaloos in the service area.
Please let me know if you can help.
