A11/M11 Night Vision Cameras!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday night about 6.15 - 6.30 heading north about a mile onto the A11 after coming off M11 I see a van parked on the verge and slow down from 1. something to .8ish and as I get closer everybody is braking like mad down me thinks there has been a smash! Me is wrong its the BIB with 2 cameras in the back of the van with a strange blue glow coming from them. I have seen these in Poland but didnt think they had them in the UK. This has proper pi**ed me off as night time has always generally been safer to get above 1. just keeping an eye for cars but now they could be anywhere at anytime

They used to use flash. I complained about this once after being dazzled when the camera was fired by an oncoming car. I wrote to the Head Plod and asked them what they'd think if I stood by the roadside firing a camera flashgun in the faces of passing drivers. They simply trotted out the 'Home Office approved' line.

Maybe mine wasn't the only complaint - write and ask them why they abandoned the previous 'approved' system.
