New oldie is quick

Yes folks my latest oldie is apparently capable of hitting -- wait for this ---
60MPH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with non existant brakes.
Its true I tell you, 60mph on a good day with a slope in our favour it will hold 60mph.
On normal conditions (whatever they are) the old girl will run to 50mph and give 40 to the gallon which is 20mpg more than Mr Crusty my dear old Austin.
So maybe I will be able to join your convoys to the seaside after all.
Well maybe not, I meet you there, most likely just as your all packing away your bucket and spades

I like the look of the anchor, how priorities have changed over the years. The original owner of my car specified the Meadows engine as an option avilable to the Coventry simplex sidevalve standard fit. This was a 6 pound upgrade!! He could also have specified 4 wheel brakes too but obviously declined, FAVOURING SPEED OVER STOPPING!
