yesterday I came out of the house to pop down the shops, I was about to get in the car when I realised somthing wasn't quiet right, someone overnight has removed the side skirts of the car, this really p****d me off but when I tried to open the boot I realised that the boot was also damaged where the scumbags have tried to remove the rear spoiler. the boot is dented both sides where they have forced a screwdriver in.
Phoned Police and Insurance , more expense. And to cap a crap weekend when they took the skirts off they must have left a screw on the drive just found it embeded in a rear tyre now off to get it sorted

I can only imagine whoever stole them also has an Alfa, I dont know how much they are worth but you can bet Alfa charge an arm and a leg for them. had a closer look yesterday boot is all out of line, looks a mess.
waiting for bodyshop to call with a date to get the work done, im glad my no claims are protected. Though I bet my premium rises next year.
Im trying not to let it bother me but Im one of those people who take it personally, Anyway looking forward to the meal and having a laugh with you guys and gals.

I thought fellow Alfa owners would have more respect. Hope you enjoy the meal & hopefully the insurance won't go upto much

Cretinus pond dwellers,I blame the parents for bringing these type of mutants into the world. It seems you hardly dare leave anything anywhere without fear of this sort of thing. S8it luck Steve but hope you get sorted soon.

Finally got the Alfa back today after being in the bodyshop for two weeks, New side skirts new boot lid and wing repaired. looks great but cost me £220 exess and another £188 having a sill repaired that had been damaged by a previous owner( Damage was hidden by a side skirt but had to have it repaired to get the new ones to fit), So all in all nearly £400 out of pocket because of some lowlife. hire car was fun a 1 ltr Yaris, when you floored it it didnt go any quicker it just made a load more noise.

Glad to hear you've got it back, and by the sounds of it, she's looking good again.

I had a wee look at the damage before I left after the Christmas meal....they certainly left their mark, the a-holes.

Did you ever get the police involved?

Police took the usual Statement, but said it would be unlikely that they would be able to do much.

Sorry to hear that Steve.

Like when I got the police involved with my vandalism incident, I can imagine you'll just received a polite note saying how sorry the force are for you being a victim of crime rolleyes

Seems they'd be more concerned if you'd do 35 in 30, than actually catch real criminals banghead

Yep, they've spent thousands of taxpayer's money defending a busted speed camera in Clacton. The usual old story 'It's Home Office Approved...' Yeah, and planes are Approved too, but they still crash sometimes.
