Our neighbours in Northants and Dunstable are organising a hoon on the 29th (less than 2 weeks away). PH Link Here

Anyone fancy joining me for a convoy down in the morning? Probably need to leave Brampton Hut about 07:45 to get there in good time.

That looks like a great run out with some great cars, I would be very interested but can't commit at the moment....

Yeah I know... never mind.

I am looking forward to comparing the Saleen to a Roush and seeing how I compare to 911's and the M6.

Hi Mark, yes... A14, A45. Fancy a two-sum?

hehe

Looks like I`m going straight up the A43, as it`s 100 yards from my house. Plus I`ve got my passenger to pick up from Kettering.
I`m surprised there`s no more Cambridgeshire PHers showing an interest. It`s a relatively easy run up the A14- A45/43.....
Currently 53 cars on the list! yikes

I spoke to the GF last night about this, we may be coming along, leaving from Newmarket, not sure what my route would be to the meeting place, would that coincide with either of yours??

Cant get the meeting point on the AA route planner!

You`re welcome to convoy with me if you want. I`m in the village of Broughton (west of Kettering). About 100 yds from the A43 and a mile from the A14. Is the A14 a straight run from Newmarket ? Feel free to mail me through my profile.

If i have the correct services (From a search on the net) Is it Newport Pagnell Services? If so, my route diverts me up the A428?? towards Bedford and across that way....

No, it`s J15a sometimes known as Rothersthorpe. It`s where the A43 crosses the M1.

I don't know why the journey planners take you that way. I am going A14 > A45 > A43, Bobs your mothers uncle. Will take about and hour and a bit at that time in the morning from Brampton Hut. Probably 30ish minutes to Brampton Hut for your good self. I am not adverse to the idea of going down the full length of the A43 for a 4 car convoy?

I would be going (St Neots Based) but have decided instead on the Dawn Raid Tunnel Run to Hayling Island, over 100 cars booked !!!

Also, whilst the A14 is quickest, the fun route would be to come down the A1 a little and head up VIA Kimbolton.

Yeah, that`s probably the best route. The A43 is an alternative though, ie take a left at Kettering at the A14/43 junction. Broughton (my village) is about 1 mile. So far it`s just Peter Green (elise) and myself from the Kettering PH "massive". hehe

So what time will you be leaving your village? I think the A43 was also mentioned, only looked quickly, I will double check and let you know!

I did get your email so will contact you via that!

Thanks

Tom
