Tomorrow is the Police Gala day up at the Norfolk Showground.
We have a stand there (Number K22) so if any PH'ers are passing drop in and say hi. The Saleen will be on the stand as well as a Harley Davidson truck and a Porsche GT3!!

From the website:
'Gala day is a day of fun for all the family and is the biggest police-organised event of its kind in the country and regularly attracts over 20,000 people to the Royal Norfolk Showground with its special brand of family entertainment, trade and charity stands.

There will be plenty for all the family in the main ring including displays from the world renowned White Helmets, the Flying Gunners and the Royal Artillery Motorcycle Display team as well as the very popular Radio Norfolk Old Car Rally.'

Maybe see some of you there.

You and me both. just packed the van and got blown to pieces. Hopefully the wind will keep the rain at bay and there will be clear skies tomorrow morning.....

Forecast says showery rain for early morning then brightening up in the afternoon. Give me a ring if you cant find us 07778 163942.

Anyway if it rains it means we only have 4 wet vehciles. It means the Motorcycle Stunt Team have real problems...eek

Always someone worse off than yourself....

See ya tomorrow for a cuppa tea...beer

Hi Kev,
that's fine, you were obviously pretty busy today.I thought the show was absolutely fantastic,we'd do well to try for a piston heads stand next year, sure it would go down really wellyes
As sad as i am,as soon as we got home,i clayed the bonnet of the tiv, followed with the Mothers sealer and carnuba wax.Well chuffed with the finish and can't wait to do the rest of the car,it'll definitely be a smile enducing experience, will let you know how i get on,
was great to finally meet you(and the Saleenlick)

I agree that a P/H stand would attract huge attention from like minded petrolheads. Clubs this year included Lotus, mini car club, ford Escort and Capri, Trumpets,Hotrod Club, and several others + 500+ private entries.

Well, sounds like a plan. I'll be there anyway as we will have the stand again but hopefully this time in a better location without a tree in the middle of the plot....punch

The only small complaint i have about the show was the dreaded scamera tent, where a chap tried to offer me a scamera sticker and paper hatrofl
After I POLITELY declined,he loudly 'booooed' me.Nice to know they're spending all those speeding fines on useful stuff like paper hats and stickershehe

I think that a PH stand for next year would round the season off nicely. Myself and John will be discussing the events calander for next year in the near future, so its another possible.

Kev have you got contact details for booking a club stand?

Harley,

Its funny but our stand got visited by a lot of police and a few traffic officers that I recognise from working at the Police HQ....not one person mentioned the obmission of a front plate on the Saleen nor the high tint on the truck but they all loved them. Neither did they on entering or leaving the sitebiglaughI think the Police become relaxed and chilled for the event which is good for petrolheads...LOL

Ian, I know the chap is called Steve Thacker and works out of the Wymondham HQ. I have a number at the office which I will pm you with later today if ok.

Hi
I visited the show in my Tuscan and had a great day,but not without its problems,i suffered a rear blow out 5 miles from the showground, limpted around to sainsbury filling station to try some tyreweld which failed as the stuff was foaming out of an innerwall split as fast as i was pumping it in. Managed to get the car to the showground, walked around and was fortunate to meet some people who where good enough to offer a lift home to Kings Lynn,we then had to jacked the car up and remove the wheel then left the car on the showground minus a wheel(dont know if any one spotted it)Had to leave it overnight and collected it Monday afternoon after a struggle to buy another tyre(thats another story). The car looked a very lonely sight on the vastness of an empty showground Monday afternoon but i was relived to see it still there and to get it home safetly
