Has anyone used Chipsaway in the Peterborough area? I've got the usual slight scratches you would expect on a six year old car and I would like to bring her back up to scratch (poor pun intended!). I just want to get a feel for the local franchisee before I take the plunge.

If it's good feel free to post here, if it's bad, PM me so as not to break the name and shame rules.

Ta.

I had already enquired in there, but I'm hoping to get a little bit of feedback if anyone has used the local franchisee.

I used Mike who covers the Kettering/Corby area and he did a great job. You couldn't see where the defects were, he spent around half a day doing it and cost me £100. Good result.

my cars front is covered in stone chips, is this something they can rectify or is it just bigger chips?

I think they're more for scratches than chips as they don't generally fill. That linky above gives a good description of the process.

Don't they call 'em fries where you come from?

I've had a call back... Apparently the guy in this area is called Martin, didn't catch his surname. So if anyone knows him, feel free to pass on any feedback.

I can recommend the Cambridge Chipsaway - he posts here as Anatol and has worked his magic on both my cars.

*blush*

There are two Chips guys in Peterborough - Martin who's mobile, and Matt who runs the fixed site car care centre. I've not met Martin or seen any of his work personally - only spoken on the phone, but I've met Matt a few times, and (if you can understand him - he has a very strong Scots accent!) I can recommend him unreservedly.

Any queries on the process, or what can be achieved, pm me - either with this login, or as "ChipsAway Guy"...
