Did anyone else here get to the Strumpshaw Steam Rally? I went as a paying customer using our old shopping trolley. Glad it was in that heap as the mud glorious mud was ankle deep in places, and that was in the car park. Good job I took me welly boots, bloke in car next to me was putting on what looked like brand new trainers, in brilliant white I overheard his wife ask him why he had'nt brought along his wellies poor sod.

As for the show, fantastic, can't wait for next years.

That was Saturday I went.

I went today (Sunday). Mud wasnt too bad. Good show. My two year old son is very keen on tractors and loved the show arena when the tracotrs came around. There is something about tractors...hmmmm the power...even though their mainly diesels. Ended up with both me and my son liking a big Fordson Super Major.

At the end, we went to the pub in Strumpshaw and watched around 6 of the bigger traction engines come up from the rally. Great sight seeing these huge machines crawling along.

Bloody stinks though...LOL

Sounds like the sort of thing Wallace and Gromit would be at!

'That traction engine gives me an idea Gromit...'
