Got to hear of a couple of shows that I thought might be worth booking in for.

Strumpshaw Steam Rally and the Steam Rally at Woolpit. Shows almost upon us now, phoned last week to see if I could creep in with my old Austin. Strumpshaw said very apologeticaly that they were fully booked so no. Woolpit very off hand and snooty said ' huh, weve been fully booked for weeks'. Maybe should have lied and said I drive vintage Buggatti!

You have other options?

Never mind Dave, you're in for 75% of the PHEA shows - if that helps? But seriously folks, most shows have about a 5% no-show rate, so try turning up to one at lunchtime and filling an untaken place.

Tea 50p/cup, sympathy £50/hr (double if it gets really boring)

I tried it a few years ago but wasn't impressed, and the organisation was poor. Hopefully it's better now. But would you like to bring the Mog along to the PH Roadshow events? If so please mail me with your e-mail address and I'll put you on 'the list'

Crikey! Checked out your photos and it was a blue one! They're right common aren't they! That one looks supercharged too!

Always a 'risk' I spose going along to a new show. Will it be one man and his dog +you or a proper show. I went to the Lions wings and wheels show at Henham a week or two back. My Bro' said he went two years ago and it was hopeless, this year the show was great with loads of interesting stuff to see. Money went to good causes too.

Yes, it had a supercharged straight eight under the bonnet, all cubist design and machine turned ally, true automotive porn...
