** FLYING FORTRESS MEETING DATE CHANGE **
Discussion
After discussions with John and the Flying Fortress, it has been decided to move this coming Sunday's meeting to the following Sunday (2nd April) to avoid Mother's day.
The Flying Fortress have no tables available on Mother's Day, so there is little option really.
Please add your names below if you will be coming so as I can advise numbers to the Flying Fortress.
Whilst posting, does anyone know of any other suitable pubs in the Bury St Edmunds area as a possible future meeting place? They would need to have a large car park and good food! Any recommendations gladly excepted.
Look forward to seeing you all on the 2nd April for a and a natter.
For anybody new, the directions and map are here :

Well the Gardeners Arms in Tostock has a great beer garden, large car park, is in the good pub guide (or it was), has great food AND a resident DB9 parked most weeks.
It is also only 1 minute walk from my house!!
Right by the A14 for ease of transport..........
sounds like a goer doesn't it??

Subject to a recce I think we might have a new venue. You're right, the FF are a bit sniffy and their paying system is a nightmare for groups.
Does anyone know the landlord/ask him if he could accommodate us once a month?
I know the landlord - a guy called Stan, top bloke. I'm ask him what he thinks but we've been there for Sunday lunch for 12 with no problems........
cheers
Rupert
Edited as been thinking a little more about this
1) it's right in the centre of the village which might annoy some of the villagers
2) every month might be a bit much for Stan - it's somewhat dinkier than the FF
3) I won't need to drive my car there!
Oh well, enjoy the recce - we could certainly vary the venue a bit anyway.

PHEA Mission Statement 4: 'Annoy villagers wherever possible'. Plese drill some holes in your exhaust pipe!
