For some time I’ve been wanting to change my username to something more imaginative and easier to spell that smedlen.

Burning effigies has been a hobby for many years now and I’ve just noticed that Wicker Man was not taken.

It is now!

It's just dawned on me that this username may be inappropriate.

If anyone thinks so please say and I'll change it.

Please advise.

That reminds me, I must watch that film some time. It's supposed to be a classic?

Can't think why you think it inappropriate though. Sounds ok to me.

I never imagined you as the effigy-burning type Steve! Still, it will add some interest to the PH Roadshow (As long as you keep away from the cars that is...)

The Wicker Man is a classic British film about a community of tree hugging basket weavers who make a stand against police interference with their customs. Or something.

Britt Ekland said the film set was the bleakest place on earth so not Suffolk! Strangely the director get a body double to do some of the naked dance scenes but Britt was deemed OK for the full frontal parts.

I'd recommend The Directors Cut rather than the abridged version. Contrary to rumours at the time no famous actors or furry animals were harmed in the making of the film.
