PHEA 2006: The year ahead
Discussion
Time is relentless and already we have new events, new ideas and new people in the pipeline. In true PH style we're highly informal and there's no hierarchy, but things do need to be co-ordinated just a bit sometimes!
Ian B did a great deal organising all the stuff I didn't, and he left us with several projects that need to be taken over and completed. I thought it best to divide the events into three types: Roadshow, Raids and Trackdays. Luckily there's been no shortage of volunteers, and on an entirely 'who offered first/boundless enthusiasm' basis I'm pleased to announce:
RAIDS: IanV (Ian Venni)
TRACKDAYS: gtr-gaz (Gary Grist)
PH ROADSHOW: simpo two (John Simpson)(also runs www.phea.co.uk)
As you can see Gary is already up and running with Marham, and Ian V will re-launch the Raids very soon.
That's it for now; I'll draw up a calendar of events soon. Cheers all

Thanks (I think !!) John for placing me in charge of the 'raids'. I have just posted an update on the Vanwall thread, and will shortly do the same for the 'Sebring' visit.
Currently there is not a lot to update but things will start to move shortly I promise.
Lets all look forward to some good and a few over the next few months !

It will be an honour to help out, John
Just don't expect more than one track day a year though! I don't think my car will stand for it!!
On a more serious note, several people have indicated a wish to see an "Ian Beech Memorial Run"
What is the general concensus on this?
Personally, I think it a good idea. Perhaps a run up to the North Norfolk coast might be in order?
Ian was particularly fond of the area around Holkam, Wells and Sheringham.
How would you all feel about a trip to Holkam Hall? www.holkham.co.uk/
There is something for everyone, including the "Bygones Museum". If any of you are old enough to remember Dick Joice, you will know what I mean!
It's also a bit more central than Hunstanton, making it easier for our friends from the east of the region.
Anyway, it's just a thought. Any ideas?

Just wondered if a Tour of Classic Team Lotus near Wymondham would be of interest they have a collection of F1 cars including Jim Clark's Lotus and the one Nigel Mansell raced in among others.
I know the FD quite well so if people are interested it might be possible to do something once the season is over if people are interested.

John,
I,m sure that there would be some interest in this. At the present there are a lot of dates to be finalised for other events, but once these are dealt with, and if enough people show an interest we could try and get it into the year somewhere.
I,ll e mail you once a few things fall into place.
