...on Sunday 30th, I`ve had a quiet word with "the management" to advise there may be quite a few arrivals at the pub with a proportion wishing to eat (I could be wrong of course) and they have agreed to provisionally allocate a few tables in "The Function" room for us, but to guarantee a table, you MUST ring them yourselves asap to book properly if you definitely wish to eat or else you could be disappointed.

Just book in your own name and mention "Pistonheads" so they will know to put us together. Only one party of four Phers has been confirmed as booked for 12 o`clock thus far. Probably a good idea to get there around 12 if you are eating to ensure you don`t have to "bolt" your lunch down before our departure for Mosler! Nothing worse than driving with indigestion! :hehe:

I have booked a table for two!

Well I mentioned Pistonheads rather than "Pistoheads" and the lady on the phone was fine - in fact she thought I was a "very nice man" and we are always welcome anytime, so long as we book tables if we want them!

I booked a table for 4 under the Pistonheads banner and she was fine.

In fact she seemed relieved to know that we were booking and could find somewhere to put us all together.

Very nice lady.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Looking forward to it.

If the weather is fine, there are also tables outside and of course you may well be able to get a seat with someone else if you are definitely after food. I dare say there will be people milling about round the cars with a pint in any case!

That should be an interesting clash of wills.... I was asked quite firmly to move for sitting at the wrong table once. Anyway, if you bring PH into disrepute we'll just say it was those gatecrashing TVRCC types

Anyway, sorry I missed it; look forward to seeing report and pix!

Did anyone else have a message from TFF when they got home?
I did.

Apparantly two people did not pay for their carvery!!

I rang them back and fortunatly, my mate paid for ours by credit card, so they have a record of our payment (as do we)!

Personally I think the system there is pretty dire! They need to organise some sort of voucher or sticker which you produce at the carvery. As it is now, anyone can walk in there and help themselves. No wonder they get in a mess occasionally.

Why should they think it was anyone from our table?
