Might as well recommend our EAPHer grazing hole.

The Flying Fortress pub just outside Bury St Edmunds does a superb carvery on a Sunday and lots of other great grub!

The Pykerill in Ixworth NE of Bury is always good, not averse to a lax interpretation of drinking up time, and does a great steak night on Thurdays.

Does it have plenty of good parking, and can you just pile in or do you need to book tables?

Several that I can think of:

The Ramsholt Arms, Ramsholt, Woodbridge.

A really picturesque location on the river, good beer & mostly good food (can be slapdash at busy times as the pub trades on location rather than consistent quality)

King's Head in Woodbridge.

Great pub, good food & beer...
