After exhaustive research and the from sufficient PHers, here are times and places for our drive out on Sunday the 25th September.

Times given should be viewed as latest departure time from each meeting/venue point so where ever you decide to join, ensure you get there before these times!!

Cambridge satellite meeting point: - depart 11:30 hrs

Come off A14 at Junction 33 (A10/A1309 Cambridge south and A10 Ely/Kings Lynn north) and take turnoff for Cambridge. Immediately get into left lane and after approx 250 metres, turn left into Cowley Road into the science park at the traffic lights. Within 75 metres, turn left again into Innovation park area.
Postcode CB4 0WS for www.multimap.co.uk

Once in the road where the arrow points, just park up somewhere convenient. It is a long wide road and should be relatively empty!

Ipswich satellite meeting point: - depart 11:30 hrs

Come off A14/A12 at this main junction point and head for the Toys R Us car park on the retail park just north of this junction. The Toys R Us is clearly seen from the roundabout.

Bury St Edmunds main meeting point/venue - The Flying Fortress pub: - depart 13:30hrs

From the satellite meeting points make you way to the Flying Fortress for an approximate arrival time 12:00 - 12:15 hrs. Postcode IP31 2QU for www.multimap.co.uk Time for a chat, pie & pint if you fancy before we leave here at around 13:30 hrs for our main hoon together for the "Flying Pig" raid:

Back onto the A14 east and a blast until a 50mph limit for a couple of miles, then blast until we follow signs for Combsford (J50 A1120), once on the A1120, within 500 metres, we turn left at the big roundabout onto the B1113 towards Needham Market and continue into Needham Market town centre and then Kerridges on our left!

Kerridges venue: - depart approx 14:30 hrs

Kerridges www.kerridges.co.uk for a good look over TVRs and Nobles finest! Also promised a coffee to keep us going!

From Kerridges back onto A14 east and a blast to Ipswich passing the main A14/A12 junction and turning off at the next junction for the A137 south towards Wherstead/Manningtree. After negotiating a couple of mini roundabouts, within 200 metres, look out for the signs to "Jimmys Farm" on the right where you should take the the single lane track until reaching Jimmys car park!!

Jimmys Farm venue www.essexpigcompany.co.uk
Providing we get there before 15:30 hrs, an option is to take the nature trail to see the lovely piggies in their natural habitat, or just buy bacon etc in the shop! The farm is open until 6pm and departure time is at your own discretion!

Those heading back west on the A14 may wish to take a hoon together to the Flying Fortress before going separate ways.

Well that`s it folks - subject to alterations if I`ve made any errors! If you think I`ve missed anything or have suggestions, please let me know!

Back up date is the following Sunday (02-10-05) if weather awful!

Looks good - I trust you have booked the weather again - it looks like I might not have a roof (or doors)!

Awesome! I'd love to have the cash to buy me one of these! Trouble is then I'd want a digger... and next would be some kind of tank or APC!!

Come-on luck 6 numbers...

Always liked the 340, or an Atom, trouble is youd get wet if it rained, but then I do anyhow

...but I've been told that you don't go out if it's wet

I had a long chat with Phil about this a while back and he told me he is able to use the word "wet" (as a technicality) using Einsteins little known "relative moisture index" theory "D=OH2" (damp = oxygen & hydrogen squared)

When using this theory, the word "wet" can be used with an "atmospheric humidity" reading greater than 50% while not actually creating precipitation!

Can't guarantee being able to bring it up. If not it'll be the 355.

More of that here...

Yep, the cobra doesn't like the rain at all, I did go out once in a thunderstorm and it soaked me, it just kept spraying water at me from everywhere it could collect it so I decided I wouldnt put the poor thing through that again. It got itself very dirty too, took me 3 days work to get it clean again. So now any cloud in the sky and I wont even push it out of its garage. I know its a girly thing to do, but its a pig to drive in the wet too, no vision with the hood on, wipers only sweep over a square foot of the windsreen, if your lucky!
