Bacardi kindly lent me his big pole which enabled me to get these first two shots of the PH Roadshow stand:
We welcomed several new faces on the stand, among them this 3-week old TVR T350C:
'Old Faithful', our trusty mascot:
Two of the most striking cars, gtr-gaz's Ultima joined by a Lambo replica that fooled everyone, on their way to the display ring for a circuit in front of our adoring public
There were lots of other cars at the show - 500 in fact, but I'll leave you with one entitled 'Big Man, Small Car':
NB Graham - tried mailing you but get 'Mailbox disk quota exceeded'

That pole you use is a great idea. ALL the cars in one photo. Nice
Yep, it's a great idea to get them all in; normally you just end up with a boring line of cars across the middle with 40% sky and 40% grass!

My Ultima features in quite a few of those pics. Even nicer!
And you're such a quiet modest chap in real life
The pictures aren't showing here, when I quote and put the http://autograph.uk.com/Pix/lav1.jpg bits into the address bar I get "The requested URL /Pix/lav1.jpg was not found on this server."

Yes, the bastards at 123-reg have suspended my account until tomorrow. Sorry, you'll have to be patient.

More details on the Lambo please.
Never been a fan of replicas myself but I mist say that it does look pretty good!
Sorry to have missed it.
Greg
Hi Greg, I feel the same way too, although my Ultima must be a replica of something! Not sure what.
The lambo was based on a Capri (I think) with a Rover V8. All the body panels were moulded from a real Lambo. The windscreen is the real thing so it all looks the business!
That's all I can tell you about it really.
BTW, will your car be ready for the flying pig raid?
Be nice to see you there.
Gary
Hi guys
Many thanks for the comments re the Lambo. Had a great day out with my Bro Adam (yellow Ultima) and met lots of friendly new faces. My thanks to John for allowing me to poach a space on the stand.
As for the car, where on earth did 'Capri' come from??!! The whole car is brand new (LJ54 initial registration) using a custom spaceframe chassis. Far too much detail to go into it here but yes they (Parallel Designs replicas) are about as accurate as they get. The interior is all moulded from an original like the outside panels so yes it looks original.
Cost for self build was around £37k, 2.5 years and 580 hours. Currently for sale at £35k. Currently shows 3200 miles. Sorry to plug a car on my first post but you did ask! Shame the plate was pixelated because it makes the car
The build is fully documented on my website www.lamboreplica.co.uk look in 'admins diary' or go to www.lamboreplica.co.uk/finishedgallery.html to see some finished pics.
Thanks again to everyone we met- not a bad person in sight. I often do the kitcar shows and you get more than a few badd eggs there so it was refreshing to be able to not cordon off my car like I usually do.
Cheers!
Nathan

Hi Ferg Sorry, I must have spoken to you but not sure who you are online! Truth be told the wiper arm actually covers a bit of a story. Suffice to say I paid £350 for it but it entailed LOT of to-ing and fro-ing mainly based around doing some work for the supplier in return. Usually they are £650 bottom line. Only Lambo make the 3 blade SV spec wipers. It's the same problem all over the car- a lot of stuff really can't be 'donored' because it's nothing like any other car. The cost really isn't meant to sound cocky, and lets face it 37k (self-build) isn't a lot of money for a car these days anyway, but for a kit car a lot of people scoff and have a pop at me but if they can make a replica of a £130k+ car any cheaper I'd love to know. Mainly, it's amusing to see and overhear people pick tiny holes in the car when they have no idea how much time and effort it takes to make a replica. A lotus 7 clone it ain't. Besides, I built this out the front of my house with no build manual and no garage. Life really is a big boys game
John- dont think I can make any dates soon as I have just been made a very proud Dad who has been through their first newborn experience. Back in hospital (again) tomorrow to see my wife who has by all accounts been tougher than a marine IMO. Not an easy birth by any means but we think the boy and mum will be OK now.
Cheers guys

Hi Nathan, Great news! I was at Lavenham in my GTM Libra with my son...the first 16 years are the worst!!! He's actually building a 7 clone as a first car.
Nathan, congrats in order!
I have two teenagers but I promise I did not get my grey hair because of them!
